I ended up walking to an outfitter in the downtown area and found what I needed.
Keep in mind this was during a stretch of weather that was 80 degrees and sunny all week so it's not like this was crappy weather.
Went back on Thursday to buy new swim shorts. The sign on the door said "open" but when I walked up to the door a small piece of paper said they would open at 3pm. It was 3:15 and the door was locked.
Outpost Sports is a nice location that is steps away from Silver Beach. It is fairly expensive to purchase items here. Lets be honest, you'll buy beach items from here if 1.) you forgot it at home and you already have a good parking space or 2.) you have kids and they want a beach toy for the day. Outpost also offers SUP and kayak rentals at the beach for a good price. 5-stars for the nice rentals, 3-stars for the store.
Not open. My family stayed across the street from this place for a week. I tried to stop in on Monday around noon. Not open, even though their his claimed that they open at 11.
