I am unable to say anything related to the cocktails and how good they taste. I am crazy about this place for this reason alone: the whisky selection. Whether you're into American micro-distilleries, bourbons, rye whiskies, scotch, world whiskies, or Irish they have something right down your alley. My wife and I will return just to make our own whisky flights. We only at a fry melt which was average. The menu does not appear very attractive to either of us. The place is a bit dark, but forget the bad. So much whisky!
221 is a great bar and restaurant with an excellent whiskey selection (though they didn't have the Bushmills 16 year I was looking for wink wink). The bar staff is attentive and knowledgeable and the food is always top notch. Servers look after you and are friendly and engaging. For sure your best bet for a cocktail and dinner in St Joe. Terrence upstairs offers a more upscale big city feel. Definitely recommended.
Ambiance, staff, food...all contributes to a fantastic experience. The owner personally greeted us and showed us to a nice rooftop table. I need to go back again to enjoy the bar area which looked great as well. New York strip was perfect, great plating, fresh veggies and potatoes. Also, what a great whiskey list. The one an only imperfection is the view from the roof is just ok so don't expect majestic views. The ambiance of the restaurant makes up for it including the massive rooftop fireplace.
Nice atmosphere, decent steak, and friendly staff. Overall a very good experience. Prices are slightly high, but not unreasonable. I would eat here again. Great for a date or in a group setting.
We tried the bone in pork chop and the N.Y. strip, not the real names but it translates better this way. Both were excellent, and cooked perfectly. Service was good and the atmosphere was very cozy and inviting. On the higher end of prices for this area, but the food was good so it was worth it.
